SDG Goldens

We believe a great Golden Retriever begins long before a puppy is born. Our breeding decisions are made with health, temperament, structure, trainability, and genetic diversity in mind, with the goal of producing dogs who are as wonderful to live with as they are beautiful. We want our puppies to become stable, confident companions who can thrive as beloved family dogs, therapy dogs, service prospects, or whatever path best fits the individual puppy. Once they are born, our puppies are raised in our home rather than separate from everyday family life. We use intentional early-development practices including ENS and ESI, Puppy Culture concepts, age-appropriate problem solving, exposure to household sights and sounds, early potty-area foundations, clicker introduction, manding, handling, and carefully planned socialization experiences. As they grow, we watch each puppy closely so we can understand the individual dog in front of us rather than treating an entire litter as though every puppy is the same.
