How do I apply for a puppy?
Each puppy page has an "Apply" link that opens the breeder's application form. Submissions drop into the breeder's buyer pipeline — they review and reply via email, usually within a few days.
What does "Available" vs "Reserved" mean?
"Available" means the breeder is still taking applications for that puppy. "Reserved" means a buyer has an accepted application or deposit down — it may still fall through, so ask the breeder if you're interested. Only puppies the breeder has published show here.
Are deposits held by BreedTools?
No. BreedTools is a directory — we do not hold deposits or process payments between buyers and breeders. Any deposit, reservation fee, or puppy price is paid directly to the breeder per their terms. Ask for a written contract before sending money.
Can I see the parents and health testing?
Yes. Every puppy page links to its litter, dam, and sire when the breeder has published them, along with any titles and health clearances recorded in BreedTools. Good breeders welcome in-person visits — we recommend meeting the dam before putting down a deposit.
How often are puppy pages updated?
Breeders maintain puppy pages inside their BreedTools kennel tools. New photos, personality notes, and availability changes appear on the public page within a few minutes.
