You log the dam’s temperature, and BreedTools tracks it against her own baseline rather than a fixed number. The classic pre-labor sign is a temperature drop (often below ~99°F / 37.2°C) about 24 hours before whelping. BreedTools confirms the drop across two readings before alerting, which cuts down on false alarms from a single odd reading.
Can I use the whelping log offline?
Yes. BreedTools is a Progressive Web App that works offline — log birth times, weights, and notes in the whelping box even with no signal, and it syncs automatically when you reconnect.

Yes. Enter the breeding date (or first and last tie for multi-day breedings) and the calendar maps the full gestation and the 58–66 day whelp window, counting down to whelp day.
